COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Course of Kings - What more dramatic a backdrop could be to this most challenging and enjoyable course than the world renowned five star Dromoland Castle.
In 2003, the Dromoland golf course was redesigned to the highest standards by Joe Carr and Ron Kirby. It is situated on 400 unspoilt acres of lush wooded parkland enhanced by the gently flowing River Rine which becomes a feature for three of the many beautiful holes on the course.
The natural terrain of the landscape at Dromoland Golf Club poses a considerable challenge to even the lowest handicap, with a profusion of yawning water hazards and concealed bunkers.
Dromoland Castle is rapidly earning an enviable reputation both for quality of golf at Dromoland Golf Club and for the splendidly refurbished Castle Hotel. Its restaurant, "The Earl of Thomond", is rated as one of Ireland's outstanding restaurants. The Clubhouse is equipped with leisure centre and swimming pool.
"A challenging parkland course, amidst the peace and serenity of a beautiful location." - Gary Player
