The on-going covid-19 pandemic has caused change and disruption to all our lives. Various short to medium term travel restrictions across the world mean that discerning golfers will not have the opportunity to experience our beautiful golf courses and surrounding sites of the South West of Ireland for the coming months. Despite this setback South West Ireland Golf are working with our many service providers and valued customers each day to come to arrangements that guarantee satisfaction for all concerned. With the help of our member courses we have already been able to move or reschedule tours into to 2021 and beyond while always putting the safety and happiness of our customers first.
We are committed to maintaining this same approach which has seen us enjoy 33 distinguished years in business before this pandemic and will hopefully continue to do so long after this testing time has passed.
It may be difficult to look too far forward at this stage, but we are sure there will pent up desires to travel once this episode ends. If you would like the opportunity to take your mind off everything currently taking place and look at planning a trip in 2021 or later while getting immersed in one of the world’s greatest golf destinations, please feel free to contact info@Swinggolfireland.com today and we would be delighted to assist you.
Stay safe and healthy and together we will beat this virus and get back to normality hopefully sooner rather than later.
The SWING Golf Ireland Team
Hello Swing,I am happy to report we all made it home to the USA (and Norway) safely. I wanted to thank you again for providing excellent service. Everybody had a great time. Both the Arbutus and Vaughn Lodge were more than accommodating. One of the women at the Arbutus came in an hour early one morning to ensure we would have breakfast before we left for an early tee time. That kind of personal service is exceptional and hard to find, or at least in America. My father knows her name, I don’t remember it, but I would like to be able to personally thank her. The golf courses were all fantastic, our last day at Lahinch was terrible weather wise but it cleared up for the last 5 holes. Of course if we hadn’t had the 40 mile per hour winds and sideways rain we wouldn’t be able to tell the stories of how tough it is to play there so I was actually happy for that. On the back nine when the goats came out we knew things were going to be much better. As it happened 3 of the 4 of us in my foursome finished with pars on he 18th hole. What better way to finish our trip? I have your cards and will be recommending SWING to anyone I know who wants to go to Ireland to play golf. I think the only two things I would have changed, and this is absolutely no criticism of SWING, just hindsight, but I would have rather taken our off day in Lahinch instead of Killarney. Killarney was great but I enjoyed Lahinch a bit more and I think we should have gotten a driver instead of renting the cars. We never drove at night and since I was doing the driving I couldn’t really have a drink after a tough round. But as I said, that is hindsight and if we get the chance to come back in 3 years, and we are going to try, then that is what we will do. As a side note, that Peugeot was a lot of fun to drive, good car choice. Everybody is uploading their photos to Shutterfly so when we get them all online I will send you the link if you would like to take a look at them.
I have never felt homesick for a place where I spent only a week until I left Ireland last Saturday.
Thanks again for all your hard work, planning and answering my many emails. Everybody on our tour felt the job done by you and SWING far exceeded our expectations.
Best regards
