The Old Head of Kinsale Golf Club offers one of the world’s most majestic golf courses.

Perched on the rugged cliffs of southern Ireland, Old Head is regarded as a bucket list golf course for every golfer to play. As you play you will take in spectacular views of the historical lighthouse and Atlantic Ocean.

The course itself comprises of five par 5s, five par 3s and eight par 4s with a minimum of six tees per hole. With a maze of natural caves and cliffs underfoot, you’ll play nine holes along the cliff tops, with all eighteen holes providing stunning sea views.

Highlights

Hole 12 Par 5 COURCEAN STAGE

One of the most intimidating holes in golf. Keep your drive down the right side of the fairway. Proceed with caution as the fairway narrows on the approach to the green.

Facilities

Facilities at Old Head Golf Club include a warm up range, a putting green and a short game practice area. Relax after your game and soak your sore muscles in one of the spa showers.

The Clubhouse

Guests can dine in the five-star Courcey Dining Room while gazing on the picturesque lighthouse, enjoy an al fresco option at The Terrace, or order light bites and a drink in the Lusitania Bar.

Course dining

Another option enjoyed by Old Head visitors is Course Dining. You can choose tasty ‘to go’ bites like oysters and champagne on their unique turn-around buffet, or arrange for the mobile Food Cart to provide you with beverages, light snacks and cigars as you make your way around the course.
