The on-going covid-19 pandemic has caused change and disruption to all our lives. Various short to medium term travel restrictions across the world mean that discerning golfers will not have the opportunity to experience our beautiful golf courses and surrounding sites of the South West of Ireland for the coming months. Despite this setback South West Ireland Golf are working with our many service providers and valued customers each day to come to arrangements that guarantee satisfaction for all concerned. With the help of our member courses we have already been able to move or reschedule tours into to 2021 and beyond while always putting the safety and happiness of our customers first.
We are committed to maintaining this same approach which has seen us enjoy 33 distinguished years in business before this pandemic and will hopefully continue to do so long after this testing time has passed.
It may be difficult to look too far forward at this stage, but we are sure there will pent up desires to travel once this episode ends. If you would like the opportunity to take your mind off everything currently taking place and look at planning a trip in 2021 or later while getting immersed in one of the world’s greatest golf destinations, please feel free to contact info@Swinggolfireland.com today and we would be delighted to assist you.
Stay safe and healthy and together we will beat this virus and get back to normality hopefully sooner rather than later.
The SWING Golf Ireland Team
SWING Golf made our trip to Ireland possible. After two false starts we finally made it to Ireland in June 2013. SWING helped with every stage of the planning and was unfailingly informative and flexible. We had a great, not just good, trip and SWING was the difference. I recommend SWING Golf to anyone thinking of a Irish golf trip.
All the food was high quality and met my expectations. However the food in the clubhouses was above expectations, especially the seafood chowder. The breakfast at the Arbutus hotel was the best breakfast buffet in a small hotel I have ever had and puts to shame the breakfast offered in American hotels. In Killarney, Mareena’s Simply Food was excellent and a good value. The food in the other places was good but Mareena’s was outstanding.
Regarding golf, I played in Ireland 6 years ago and my response is colored by that experience. Then the rough was an issue but playable while on this trip in places the rough was unplayable and made scoring very difficult. Lahinch, Ballybunion and the back 9 at Tralee the rough was so thick and tangled it might take 2 shots to move the ball a few yards. This kind of rough makes it hard to like a course when you are scoring 10 shots higher than normal while playing well. With that in mind Waterville was a favorite and Lahinch’s dunes are special. Also Dooks was liked very much by those who played it and the views around Dooks are the equal of any of the other more expensive and famous courses.
Again thank you. I hope to get back to Ireland and will certainly look to SWING Golf and you for help.
