The Course

Portmarnock Golf Club is known as one of the world’s truly great links courses. It is located on a small peninsula extending into the Irish Sea and is surrounded by water on 3 sides. Portmarnock Golf Club is located 10 miles North of Dublin city just South of Malahide on R106. The quality and location of Portmarnock have made it a superb venue for some great events over the years in the British Amateur, the Canada Cup, the Walker Cup and some 12 Irish Open Championships.

The golf course is best known for its memorable set of finishing holes that has proven a formidable test even for the most skilled golfers. Arnold Palmer has even been quoted as calling Portmarnock’s 15th hole, “the finest par-3 in the world.”
