Ryder Cup 2026 Heading to the South West

Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort in Co. Limerick has this morning been confirmed as the host venue for 2026 Ryder Cup. It is believed that the European Tour and the Irish government agreed a deal a week ago to bring the one of golf’s most prestigious events back to Ireland 20 years after the K club staged the 2006 tournament. Adare Manor previously hosted the Irish Open in 2007 and 2008 and underwent a major renovation in 2017 which was co-ordinated by renowned American golf course architect Tom Fazio. A number of the world’s top players will be given the chance to experience the course in 2020 as Manor owner JP Manus has secured a number of the world’s top golfers for his Pro-Am in July of next year. These include the likes of Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson and Open Champion Shane Lowry . This announcement, coupled with Shane Lowry’s magnificent victory at Royal Portrush this past weekend and Lahinch Golf Club’s successful hosting of the Irish Open at the start of July have made it a very memorable couple of weeks for Irish golf. This exposure is undoubtedly going to increase demand for golf in Ireland so if you are considering booking a golf package or choosing your own courses, get in touch with our friendly team today.
