Castlerock Golf Club is situated in the seaside village of Castlerock, which lies approximately 5 miles west of the town of Coleraine on the North coast of Northern Ireland.

Mussenden course

The Championship Mussenden Course was designed by Ben Sayers. It is a par 73 links course set among rolling sand dunes.

The best-known hole is the fourth, called the Leg O’Mutton, a 200-yard par 3 with a railway line to the right, a stream to the left and a raised green.

Bann links course

Castlerock is also home to the newer Bann Links. This is a full-length, nine-hole course that plays on some of the club’s finest dune land.

Highlights

A highlight of the Mussenden course is the well-known fourth hole, called the Leg O’Mutton.

Facilities

The golf club’s facilities include a wide-ranging general practice tee and a specially built short game area. Chipping mats are positioned around the green.

The Professional Shop contains a teaching studio and comes fully stocked with all the latest products from some of the world’s leading golf manufacturers.

Food & Drink

Relax after your round in the welcoming Castlerock Clubhouse with a pint or bite to eat. There is also a restaurant on site catering to all hungry golfers.

Things to do

Castlerock is located on the Causeway Costal Route. This 120-mile road trip is full of unique attractions, idyllic towns and rural villages all set against some of the world’s most dramatic and stunning scenery.

Castlerock Golf Course is less than 20 miles from the village of Bushmills, which houses Dunluce Castle. It is thought to have been first built sometime in the 13th century by the powerful Irish noble and 2nd Earl of Ulster Richard Óg de Burgh. The castle’s vibrant and often turbulent history can be explored by visitors through an audio-visual tour.
