The Course
The European Golf Club is on Brittas Bay about 35 miles South of Dublin and 5 miles South of Wicklow town. Located on the Eastern coastline of Ireland it has magnificent views of the Irish Sea. The design of the European Club has attempted to modernise the traditional values of links golf and this has been achieved with magnificent results. The combination of rugged dunes, deep bunkers, sea breezes and large undulating greens, calls on the golfer to display the strength of character, an ability to think and shot making skills.

What to See and Do
The European Club is located in Co. Wicklow, just off the main Dublin – Waterford motorway, 60 minutes south of the city centre. A top local attraction, only 30km from the course is Glendalough Abbey. The visitors centre, located close to Bray, stands at the entrance to Glendalough Valley, just beside the main part of the monastic settlement. The monastery was founded in the sixth century by Saint Kevin and survived up until the sixteenth century. The buildings that survive date from between the eighth and the twelfth centuries and include a well-preserved round tower, a number of fine stone churches and various crosses.
